Everest Base Camp Trekking is one of the longest treks in this region, despite the fact that it is said to last only 13 days. Actually, it gives the trekkers the opportunity to take as many days off, as it suits them, for acclimatization.

Also, it offers trekkers maximum exploration opportunities, where they can take day trips to as many surrounding villages as they wish.

During acclimatization, especially, the trekkers get this amazing opportunity to try the local food, which is considered as the best cure for altitude sickness. Meanwhile, they can also get to know the history of these people and the places. You can also check the articles related to Everest in Wikitravel.

Yes! The Lukla airport is one of the dangerous airports in the world. The runway is tiny and built on a slope with a mountain at one end and a huge drop into a valley at the other..,
