Everest Base Camp Trek is hands down the most preferred trekking route in Nepal for one simple reason. It brings the tourists up close to the highest peak in the world, Mt. Everest.

And even for moments gives them this opportunity to breathe the same air, or feel the same thing that hundreds of mountaineers feel before embarking on their quest of conquering this giant.

Apart from the Everest Base Camp, there are so many other best attractions that make the EBC Trekking route what it is. Trekking on this route has been once in a lifetime experience for many trekkers in the past, as they came across many such attributes that were new for them.

Details Of Everest Base Camp Trek

Everest Base Camp Trekking is one of the longest treks in this region, despite the fact that it is said to last only 13 days. Actually, it gives the trekkers the opportunity to take as many days off, as it suits them, for acclimatization.

Also, it offers trekkers maximum exploration opportunities, where they can take day trips to as many surrounding villages as they wish.

There are so many interconnecting villages in the region that share the same cultures and traditions. It’s interesting to see how people live here. Also, nestled among the hills, these beautiful villages are serene, peaceful and a great getaway for tourists.

For Luxurious and Rich Travelers, Everest Base Camp helicopter tour is best option to visit Khumbu region comfortably.

During acclimatization, especially, the trekkers get this amazing opportunity to try the local food, which is considered as the best cure for altitude sickness. Meanwhile, they can also get to know the history of these people and the places. You can also check the articles related to Everest in Wikitravel.

The trekkers throughout the trek find themselves in close proximity to the great white peaks of the region. With every step, these giants get bigger and bigger, causing them to get further mesmerized with every passing day. Island Peak Climbing and Gokyo Valley Trek are also one of the best selling packages being provided by us.

Do we get high altitudes sickness? And what happens if we got altitude sickest?

It is hard to say that you will have altitude sickness or not because everyone’s body reacts to the altitude differently. In general, most of the trekkers have suffered from normal altitude problem during trek but if anyone highly suppers from altitude problem we manage Helicopter rescue. So be sure before starts trek that your insurance cover Helicopter rescue as well. Otherwise, you have to pay extra for a Helicopter rescue.

How Difficult Everest base camp trek is?

Mainly you have to be fit physically and mentally for this trek. I already mentioned above about physical conditions. Normally you have to walk 4-6 hrs per day so you have to prepare your body and mind that you can walk 4-6 hrs per days. Besides this, you have to care what kind of guide and which company you are following because your guide is a doctor in Mountain and company is a hospital.

What are the physical conditions? Do we need to be supper fit for Everest base camp trek?

In my experience, I would like to say you need to have an above average level of fitness, but no means need to be an athlete. It is a completely different world being that high up and everyone’s body reacts to the altitude differently. Simple training before you go.

How about flight? The flight in and out of Lukla is scary?

Yes! The Lukla airport is one of the dangerous airports in the world. The runway is tiny and built on a slope with a mountain at one end and a huge drop into a valley at the other..,

Do we get phone Signal?

Yes! You can buy a SIM card (Ncell) in Kathmandu before starts trek but the 3G only really works the first and last couples of days of the trek. But you know you could buy wi-fi cards at tea houses which cost 3-6$ for 200mb and the signal is medium.

What are very critical and important trekking equipment list for Everest base camp trek?

Well, below are the suggested trekking equipment list for Everest base camp trek:
  • Daypack (25–35 liters), Pack cover, Sleeping bag comfortable too – 20 °c (depending upon the season, weather forecast and personal preference) and it is possible to rent it from Kathmandu which cost 2$ per day.

T-shirt, goggles (UV protected) and 5 pair thermal pants and cap for sun cover, Waterproof gloves, woolen gloves, and socks. Sunscreen, moisturizer, lip balm and sanitizer handy.

What is the best time for Everest Base camp trek?

Normally we operate this, Everest Base Camp, trek all around a year but Sept-Nov and Feb-May is a best suggested time for Everest base camp trek.

Memorable Journey To EBC
As a group of friends from Malaysia and England doing the EBC Himalayan trek, I had a wonderful experience with Amir and his guides and porters, they made our trip most memorable,a lovely bunch of very experienced young men, happy and friendly with lots of laughs and all were very helpful and supportive, nothing was to much trouble. I would fully recommend this company and will look forward to using them again in the future. Thank you all for such an amazing experience.

Good Family Experiance
We are a family (2 adults and 2 children of 12, and 18 years old) and did the trek from Lukla to Everest Base Camp and Kala Pathar. It took us 14 days to do it. The trek is wonderful and the landscape is impressive (even for the swiss we are). The commodities are very good (specially if you compare to India). Accomodation is very cheap 100 to 200 Ruppes per room (500 at Lobutshe and Goratshep). Food is however expensive (european prices) and you should count 20 to 25 USD per person per day. In order to reach EBC we spend a lot of time for acclimitisation. By doing so, all our family reached EBC. To return to Lukla count 2 days if you are very fast, three days normally (climbing Kala Pathar in the morning), and 4 days if you are slow or sick

Wonderful Trekking Experiance In Nepal
It was a wonderful experience trekking to Everest Base Camp with the best team of dedicated guides that served us the best. Mount Face Team made our journey to the top successful. The accommodation and food facilities they provided me and my fellow trekkers on our way to the EBC was amazing. We were a bit worried about our safety and were looking for a trustworthy and professional team of guides and porters. Thankfully we operated our plan with Everest Thrill. They provided all the best measures for safety and also explained us about the local cultures and the monuments we saw on our way to the camp very well in detail. Thank you for making our trip so memorable and amazing. Looking forward to travel more places with Everest Trill Team.

Perfect Holiday With Thrilling Team
Thank you, Mr. Amir, for your kind hospitality and management during the entire trip.I am Laurent (56 yrs) and recently finished Everest trek with my wife (55 yrs). We had always doubt that we can do it or not because of our age but our dream always push us. I got Amir’s Contact from my friend’s son who already visited Nepal twice. I contacted Amir to organize our trip to base camp. With his kind assistance and details information, we booked a trip with him. He came to the airport himself to welcome us and we felt so great to see him with his great personality and hospitality. He provided us a welcome Nepali dinner with our guide Prem. The flight to Lukla was a bit scary for us but we were lucky that we had a flight with good views and weather. We never felt alone during the trek because our guide is always stayed with and morally supported. Amir always shows his keen interest that we were in good condition or not. They always inspired and pushed us positively. Everest viewpoint is the place from we saw Mt. Everest and other surrounding mountains. The view after 4000m, I can’t describe enough but it’s beyond our imagination. We know, we felt a bit difficult after Dinboche but surrounding views always pushed us to go a little up up up. We took so many pictures during the trek because we knew, this will be our first and last trek in Everest, we will never return back here again. After successfully completed the trek, we got a certificate of Appreciation. Thank you again for everything that you did for us. We knew, we got late to trek base camp but we are very happy that we trekked our dream destination in our older age. I strongly recommend all to visit Nepal, its mountains views, nature, culture, people are exceptional. And visit Nepal with this young professionals entrepreneur because they represent true Nepal and will best organizer for you all….,

Wonderful Trek To EBC
Had such a wonderful trek experience ever!!! As I was a Solo, I booked a group joining trek. There were 15 people altogether from different countries. I know it is difficult to manage people from different countries but they well managed a group. It was a fantastic journey to base camp. Some people had problem during the trip but they provided proper medicines and motivation. I even had a small headache in Gorakshep but it was not so big deal for me because I had a great team with me. Surprisingly, we all made to base camp 15/15 even the people who had problem on 2nd day of trekking. Everyone seemed very happy with team. We all took pictures together. We spent more or less 30 min. in base camp as there was little snowing. Overall, the trek was wonderful. The dedicated team of Amir, their hospitality, team management, coordination, way of presence was amazing. Should visit Nepal with this young amazing team! I surly return back to Nepal next year, 2020, for Imja Tse with Chola pass!!! See you guys!!!!

Dream of Life Come True
Finally I chased the dream which I had from long time. I always had a dream to go at least to BC. I booked a trip with Everest thrill as I found them on Instagram. They were very fast responsive and willing to help you any time. From start to end, the journey was wonderful. I found a Mr. Budhhi as our guide who already had a 25 years experience in Himalayas. Total funny guide ever. The service was excellent. Sometimes I got disappointed by weather but luckily weather was great when we were in Gorakshep. The early morning views from Kalapathar was amazing. The sunrise over mountain was unreal. Felt! I was in heaven sometimes. As my friend had a serious altitude problems on Gorakshep while we were in Kalapathar. Our guide informed to Amir and Amir sent a helicopter within 15 min. The views from helicopter just wow! We experienced different in life. My friend stayed 1 night in hospital then he recovered. As we had 4 more days before leaving Kathmandu so Amir took us to Chitwan. We did Jungle safari, elephant riding and we also did rafting in Trisuli river while returning back from Chitwan. From Mountain to Chitwan, we found so many differences. Nepal has diversity in everything. It’s totally amazing place with amazing Culture, mountain and it’s people. Highly recommend to visit Nepal! And visit Nepal with this team!!!

Great Service and Hospitality
I am extremely overwhelmed by the hospitality and service we received during our trek to the Everest Base Camp. Me and my team decided to trek to EBC and were looking for a good travel agency with affordable package. Luckily, we chose Everest Thrill and they were amazing. Their whole team of trained and skilled guides made our journey to the EBC a lot easier and memorable. We shared our experiences and memories together. We were informed about the weather condition by the Everest thrill team beforehand, so we had carried all the clothes and other equipment that we were gonna need on our trek. The weather served us right and we got to take a glimpse of the marvelous view of the Mountains. Thank you, Amir and the team for your kind hospitality and your service. We’re beyond words.

EBC, Visit You Again
My friends and I had been planning to trek to Everest Base Camp from a long ago. I was told about Mount Face team by a friend. He had suggested me to travel with Mount Face since he came to know that I and my friends were planning to go on trekking to the EBC. The trekking package that Mount Face had offered was a very reasonable price and the facilities they included with the trek were just impressive. We didn’t have to face any kind of inconvenience throughout our journey to the EBC except for the bad weather we had to face for a while on the way. They served us with the best food and lodging facility considering in such a remote place. We reached the camp and returned back safe and sound. I would fully recommend this company and will look forward to using them again in the future. Thank you all for such an amazing experience.

Definitely Recommend All
Thank you Thrill Team, a 5 star. It was my goal to complete EBC and make new friends and now I’ve accomplished my mission. The trip to Everest Basecamp was definitely one of the best trips I have done. The scenery was stunning and the trek was well organized. The guides were all really friendly and experienced which made the trip really enjoyable. Everything including the accommodation and the details you shared to us about the village and their culture was amazing. Our trip was spectacular. I never thought something like this could be so thoroughly enjoyable and mesmerizing! Definitely, recommend this company to all the other explorers and trekkers.
